In Washington, the hills are abundant with Lupin, and Balsamroot in the spring, There is a ranch called the "Dalles Mountain Ranch." It sits about 3 miles on a dirt road off of Highway 14, on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge. Once you arrive, there is the typical barns and old buildings. Normally you wouldn't think too much of it, but what makes it special, is the old rusted out Chevy, sitting in this beautiful field of wild flowers. While it makes for a great image, I did find myself wondering about the people and story behind it, and why it got left sitting there.
