Quite some years ago, my husband and I vacationed in Utah and took a day trip to Lake Powell outside of Page, Arizona. The Lake was absolutely beautiful, but the wind was horrid. Needless to say, not the best conditions for photography! We decided to make the most of our day and chose to take a tour of the Glen Canyon Dam instead. Just before we embarked on our drive back to Utah, I noticed this profusion of blooming cacti on the cliff side overlooking the Colorado River and the wind calmed enough to snap a few shots. This was my favorite of the bunch.
