I was out late into the evening, The sun has passed behind the horizon and twilight had began. I love staying out until the very last light has passed, taking advantage of every last minute to find a great capture. I primarily shoot wildlife and that is what I have incorporated into this capture for this landscape assignment.
As the temperature changed the river mist rose creating a great contrast between the trees in the background and my subject. The composition came naturally and the heron fit well within the frame bringing the whole image together. All I had to do was capture a 6 second long exposure without the heron moving, with fingers crossed It turned into a great success!
