Our ice and snow melted 2 weeks ago. For this assignment I arranged some natural and polished rocks in a white plastic bowl. I covered them with water and froze them in my freezer. I set up my telephoto macro on the tripod in my kitchen, using a LED flashlight for side lighting. I took this photo after the ice started to melt in my tiny "rock pond," and I took it out of the bowl and set it on a white plastic plate. The shades of lavender are from some of the polished rocks that were in my frozen arrangement.
