Sometimes the best way to clear your mind is to head to the mountains. Insomnia set in Saturday morning so I decided to head to Tipsoo lake at 3:30 in the morning to catch the sunrise. I had a general idea of how I wanted to capture the scene in my head but I had no idea if it was even going to possible. This is the end result of roaming around for almost an hour in the frigid 6 degree temperatures to find some cracks in the ice on the lake that would offer a unique foreground. To my knowledge I've never seen anyone shoot Tipsoo in this fashion so I hope I was able to pull it off!
