I was driving around sunrise to meet up with my photography group in Yosemite and saw how nice the river looked. So I got out of the car and ran down to the river bank. I had to be quick about it but luckily I found a good spot in my haste. I first saw the rock and knew it would be a good foreground object. I made sure not to step on it so to not put footprints in the snow. Then I setup the tripod and camera and oriented everything to make the background nice. The river was so still and had a reflection like nothing I've seen before so I made sure to capture it with the polarizer.
