Take the I15 north past Salt Lake City. Turn left on Antelope Drive and follow the road for the next 45 minutes until you see the signs for Antelope Island state park.
Antelope Island in northern Utah has a difficult reputation. During summer the mosquitoes rule the island with an iron fist and the smell from the salt water can smell like sulfur. But in winter the island takes on a different character. On this day, storms had recently visited the island but suddenly the skies parted and this beautiful light emerged, touching the mountains as the bison grazed.
