Description

While Highpointing this summer I had a few spare hours to explore North Carolina's beautiful mountains. A quick walk on the Hickory Nut Trail in Chimney Rock State Park led me to the tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi. In summer's dry heat the once full cascade of water was a mearly a trickle that make the rock glisten in the blue afternoon sky. I knew the reflection of the water would make the perfect contrast against the dark rock and took the picture knowing I'd turn it into a black and white image.
