This is the famous Bass Harbor in Acadia National Park. Many go to shoot the lighthouse however when I arrived a high tide and active surf did not allow access to the location which gives the classic view. I choose instead to position myself to capture the waves crashing up along the rocks. This was shot this with a Canon 17 mm TS-E f/4L lens in the vertical orientation but shifted down to focus more of my composition on the waves and just slightly feature the lighthouse. I used a 0.6 sec shutter speed which I find captures the movement and the texture extremely well for a dynamic composition.
