Brief Directions
Most of Yellowstone's geyser basins are best reached via the West Yellowstone entrance to the Park.
Notes
I revisited my images from this morning to see how they'd look with black and white processing, to emphasize the light rays. To increase dynamic range and detail, three exposures adjusted in Adobe Lightroom were combined in PhotomatixPro HDR software before black and white conversion in DxO SilverEfex2.
Description
Yellowstone's geyser basins can produce significant fog on cold mornings. the sunlight streaming through the trees creates sun rays and light spots that spotlight stem riding from thermal features.
