Description: These are typical summer storm clouds over a wetland prairie in south Florida, located in the Big Cypress National Preserve. Being accessible only by paddle boat, it’s not an area where I can get out of my canoe and set up to shoot on foot. Instead, I must stay in the anchored canoe and place the tripod off to the side in the shallow water. The legs sink a foot or more in the soft mud but once firmly planted, I can attach the camera and shoot.
Gear & Settings: Sony a77 II, Sony SAL 16-50mm lens at 16mm, Induro CLT303L series 3 tripod, Oben BC-126 Ballhead. Exposure: 0.6 sec, f/13, ISO 100.
