Description: I have a busy schedule running my own business, so I look for opportunities to shoot whenever I can. Last October, I was invited to speak at a conference in Lake Tahoe, so I jumped at the opportunity to bring my camera along. Having only one evening available to shoot, I did some research and decided that Sand Harbor, on the Northeast Nevada side of the lake, was the ideal place to be at sunset. After trying several compositions, I ultimately decided to use the largest boulder to lead the eye toward the stand of trees. Then I just waited for the magic to happen and was blessed with a gorgeous band of clouds to catch the setting rays of the sun. It was a night to remember.
Gear & Settings: Canon EOS 6D, Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM, Gitzo Tripod. Exposure 0.6 sec., ƒ/18, ISO 100.
