Winner: "Boogie!" By Douglas Croft
“A winter storm had left some residual swell and nice waves at Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz,” explains Croft. “Most of the surfers were sitting on their boards, waiting for ‘the’ wave, but this guy on his boogie board was making the most of every set that came in. The sun was creating some magical light and color in the water and I didn’t have any filters with me, so I stopped down and lowered my ISO to try a slow-shutter pan. This one worked out nicely.”
