Congratulations to Siu Lau for winning TWO assignments in a row, this time for our Atmospherics Assignment challenge.
“That morning was cold and the sky was somewhat clear,” says Lau. “There was still some snow on the ground and on the tree leaves due to a mini snowstorm a couple days before. We decided to take a walk on Cook's Meadow Loop. While we were enjoying the views of Half Dome and Yosemite Falls, I looked across the field and noticed the fog swirling around the trees, creating sun rays and sparkling on the tree leaves. I immediately took the camera out of my bag and made a few shots. This was one of the few times I didn't use a tripod since the scene was changing very fast. When I was taking the picture, I was thinking it would have been nice if the person had not been there. But when I looked at the picture at home, I was so glad that the person was in the picture. The scenery became more mysterious and vast because of him.”
