“A light ground mist filtered the sun's intensity as it rose above the horizon, and this added some nice color tones to the scene as a construction of sandhill cranes preen themselves prior to joining the morning fly out,” describes Everett. “The Sacramento Delta area provides a crucial habitat for the birdlife that migrate along the Pacific Flyway. The land is effectively managed between productive agriculture and essential wildlife habitat and over the winter months provides a home for sandhill cranes, trumpeter swans, geese, ducks and various other waterfowl.” Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, Canon EF100-400mm Zoom @ 220mm, Manfrotto tripod and 3-way head.
