Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm F4.0 PRO
PRO-designated lenses in the Olympus M.Zuiko line are the company’s premium optics, and the new M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm F4.0 PRO embodies what we love about the Olympus system. The lens is very compact for a 24-90mm (35mm-equivalent) zoom at just 2.76 inches in length and 2.5 inches in diameter, giving you the range of a standard zoom in a diminutive design. Though it’s not a true macro lens, it is capable of 0.5x magnification with a minimum focusing distance of 4.7 inches at the wide end of the zoom range, extending to just over 9 inches at the tele end, making the lens a versatile option for close-up work. List price: $649.
