Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS

Sigma’s third zoom in its growing DG DN lens lineup for full-frame mirrorless cameras, the 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS is available in both L-Mount (developed jointly by Sigma, Leica and Panasonic) and Sony E-Mount. It joins the Sigma 14-24mm F2.8 DG DN Art and 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art, and together these lenses cover a range that will accommodate most outdoor photographers’ needs. For wildlife and sports shooters who want more telephoto reach, it’s also compatible with Sigma’s two teleconverters for the system, the 1.4x TC-1411 and 2x TC-2011.

The L-Mount system was a later entry into the full-frame mirrorless camera market, but Sigma’s aggressive development—and the outstanding optical quality of its lenses—have made the system a compelling competitor to the “Big 3.” This lens completes the lineup and is attractively priced, too. List price: $949.
