Winner: "Tufted Titmouse Fall" By Jessica Nelson
“I love these adorable little feisty tufted titmouses,” says Nelson, “or is it titmice? Either way, I love when the leaves change and I can catch the birds sitting among the beautiful fall foliage. These guys are small but they have a very big and mighty personality, and I just love the poses and the 'faces' I can catch when they look at me just the right way. This shot was taken when the days started to get shorter, so I was chasing the last of the sunlight for the day, but l like it because of the combination of orange and green leaves that frame him.”
Canon 90D, Sigma 150-600c lens. Exposure: 1/500 sec., f/7.1, ISO 16000.
