Congrats to Rebecca Wilks! Her photo from Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is the winner of the Fresh Perspectives Assignment.
“I took this photo in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, on Lake Powell March 18, 2014, during a week-long houseboat trip. This spot is fascinating to me, not only for the graphic quality of its shapes, but also for the hint it gives of the breathtaking grandeur of Glen Canyon and its tributaries before the Dam (of the same name) was commissioned in 1963. I climbed a nearby sandstone ridge as the houseboat captain motored around the curves to provide perspective. I did only basic postprocessing in Lightroom 5,” says Wilks.
Equipment: Canon EOS 5D Mark III and Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L, handheld.
