Photo Of The Day By Jeff Stasney
Photo Of The Day By Jeff Stasney
Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Group Of Trees” by Jeff Stasney. Location: Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan.
“In early October, I made my way up the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan, after having visited the Porcupine Mountain Range,” says Stasney. “Along the highway, I spotted a grouping of colorful trees and just had to pull over. I love to capture compressed shots of trees that often reveal unnoticed details and patterns. As I looked through the lens of my new Nikon 200-500mm, I felt excited! I loved the juxtaposition and graphic nature of the dead trees in the foreground against the colorful beauty of fall foliage behind. It’s exactly these kinds of quiet intimate scenes that often mean the most to me.”
Photo of the Day is chosen from various OP galleries, including Assignments, Galleries and the OP Contests. Assignments have weekly winners that are featured on the OP website homepage, Facebook and Twitter. To get your photos in the running, all you have to do is submit them.
