The four new, updated MINOX BV II binoculars all deliver a combination of sleek, ergonomic design and performance features, with an outstanding price/performance ratio. They also offer a choice of compact or full-size models.
All four feature multi-coated lens elements that minimize reflections and provide exceptionally high light transmission, as well as neutral color rendition. Roof prisms with phase-corrected coating ensure images with excellent detail and high image contrast, even in low-light conditions. The sturdy aluminum bodies are coated with a new black rubber material (NBR) for a comfortable, sure grip and they are waterproof to about 10 feet.
For those who prefer the convenience of small size and light weight without sacrificing quality, MINOX offers the BV II 8×25 BR and BV II 10×25 BR. They are only 4-1/4”x3-7/8”x1-1/2” and weigh just 9.1 oz. A great value, retail prices are $149 for the 8×25 and $159 for the10x25.
With a larger exit pupil and higher twilight factor for greater low-light capabilities, there are two new full-size MINOX BV models. They measure 5-1/2”x5”x2” and weigh 27.5 oz. The BV II 8×42 BR has a retail price of $289, and the BV II 10×42 BR is $299.
All have a nitrogen filling for corrosion resistance and to prevent fogging of the glass surfaces, even with severe temperature fluctuations. With their extended eye relief and click-stop, twist-up eye cups these new MINOX BV binoculars meet the needs of eyeglass wearers, so they can see the entire field without vignetting. They come with a neoprene strap, an eyepiece cap and carrying case.
