COPENHAGEN, April 26, 2011 — Two new Phase One Digital Artist Series (PODAS) workshops are now open for enrollment. Participants enjoy the full attention of world-class instructors; and the all-inclusive venue (including airport pickup, hotel accommodations, meals, camera equipment and materials) is designed so they can focus solely on the art and craft of photography for the duration of the action-packed workshop.
3-day intensive workshop
July 14-18, 2011 – Chicago, IL
Instructors: Jeffrey Totaro and Chris Barrett
Limited to 15 participants
August 24-29, 2011 – Palouse, WA
Instructors: Michael Reichmann and Art Wolfe
Limited to 16 participants
A unique feature of these PODAS workshops is that participants will be loaned a new Phase One 60-megapixel IQ160 camera system (comprising a Phase One 645DF camera body, IQ160 back and lenses); attendees will also receive a free copy of Capture One Pro software. Shooting excursions are complemented by classroom instruction on topics ranging from visualization to composition, capture, workflow and presentation.
“In my experience, the best learning comes from combining first-rate instruction with superior tools in supportive environments,” said Kevin Raber, host of the PODAS workshop series and a vice president of Phase One US. “Participants in these workshops get to discover for themselves the ultimate in image quality and have a lot of fun in the process!”
Previous workshops have been held in locations such as Australia, Death Valley, Iceland and Ireland. Future workshops are now being designed and will be announced.
