Photo Of The Day By Gary Fua
Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Utopia” by Gary Fua. From the 2017 Super Bloom at Carrizo Plain National Monument, California.
“Superbloom, they say!” says Fua. “Indeed, on my previous visits to Carrizo Plain National Monument, I haven’t seen these colors and expanse of wildflowers in full bloom. This year , the wildflowers were glorious. I hiked for an hour to reach the ridge and waited for the sun to break and light the ridges, it gives a dimension to the image and I think I love it.”

Photo of the Day is chosen from various OP galleries, including Assignments, Galleries and the OP Contests. Assignments have weekly winners that are featured on the OP website homepage, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. To get your photos in the running, all you have to do is submit them.
