Photo Of The Day 10/15/2012
Pianissimo by Joseph Thomas
Joseph Thomas sent today’s Photo Of The Day to the Cloudscapes Assignment. It was taken in Colorado. Thomas describes the situation, “Some of the best images I’ve made have been when the picture I came for didn’t materialize. On this morning, the scene before me lacked the clouds I had anticipated. Always open to accepting whatever nature offers, I looked around and saw an attractive pattern of pillowy clouds behind me. With no time to waste, I frantically searched for an interesting foreground, recomposed, and waited for the sun to break over the horizon. While I didn’t come home with the shot I had previsualized, I did come home with a keeper!”
Get your photos into the running for the Photo Of The Day by submitting the OP galleries. I select a Photo Of The Day everyday. Images come from Your Favorite Places, Assignments and the contest galleries. The Assignments and the Your Favorite Places sections of the website have been improved with larger photos and new functions. Take a look at the improvements. You can see more of my Photo Of The Day selections on the OP Blog.
