Photo Of The Day 9/10/2012
Sunset Ring by Randolf Fritz
Randolf Fritz sent today’s Photo of The Day to the Summer Sunsets Assignment. The photograph was taken in Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada. Fritz describes taking the photograph, “I set up at this pool and waited for a fish to make a surface ring as the sun set,. I got a little anxious as the sun got lower and lower and none of the fish were cooperating. Finally happened and I got the shot I had envisioned.”
The Summer Sunsets Assignment is open for submissions through September 18. You can see the full Summer Sunsets gallery submissions here.
Take a look at the newly revamped Assignments and the Your Favorite Places sections of the website and you’ll see some cool new features. You can see all of the submissions and check out all of the other Assignment galleries here. I select a Photo Of The Day everyday. Images come from the OP Galleries like Your Favorite Places, Assignments and the contest galleries. You can see more of my Photo Of The Day selections on the OP Blog.
