Photo Of The Day 9/28/2012
Yosemite Falls by Jim Shoemaker
Jim Shoemaker’s brooding photograph of Yosemite Falls is today’s Photo Of The Day. Shoemaker describes the image, “Yosemite Falls appears sullen and moody illuminated by sunlight filtering through winter storm clouds.” Iconic locations that are photographed as much as Yosemite Valley call for added attention to make a photograph that stands out from the crowd. This photo does that very well. Shoemaker sent this photo to the National Parks Assignment which is open for submission through October 2, 2012.
