“Succulent Splendor” by Ben Wurst
Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Succulent Splendor” by Ben Wurst.
“Salicornia virginica is an edible succulent plant that thrives on the coastal salt marsh,” says Wurst. “In autumn is turns a bright vibrant red color. It’s a great contrast to the green spartina cordgrass and the bright blue tidal pools on the marsh. Setting the scene is a nice sunrise in the background.”
Photo of the Day is chosen from various OP galleries, including Assignments, Your Favorite Places and the OP Contests. Assignments have weekly winners that are featured on the OP website homepage and several images from the Assignment Gallery are picked to be featured in The Best Of Assignments section in the print magazine. To get your photos in the running, all you have to do is submit them.
