Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Sutter Buttes and Blooming Almond Orchards” by Beth Young. Location: Yuba City, California.
“Blooming almond orchards at the base of the world’s smallest mountain range, the Sutter Buttes, during a warm February when the bugs and mosquitoes were fierce!” describes Young. “Almonds are California’s most valuable export crop and the show their blossoms put on in late winter is always a welcome sight in our Central Valley.”
