Photo Of The Day By Eric Bowles
Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Dream Lake Sunrise” by Eric Bowles. Location: Rocky Mountains National Park, Colorado.
“Dream Lake requires an early start and a hike at over 9,000 feet of elevation,” says Bowles. “While the morning sky had some nice color, a layer of clouds blocked much of the alpenglow. Luckily, the sun found a thin layer of an opening beneath the clouds throwing a layer of warm light on the mountains in the background. The camera was positioned low, to take advantage of the curve of a large log to provide foreground interest.”
Photo of the Day is chosen from various OP galleries, including Assignments, Your Favorite Places and the OP Contests. Assignments have weekly winners that are featured on the OP website homepage and several images from the Assignment Gallery are picked to be featured in The Best Of Assignments section in the print magazine. To get your photos in the running, all you have to do is submit them.
