Photo Of The Day By Gene Putney
Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Rocky Mountain Bull Elk” by Gene Putney. Location: Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.
“On a late afternoon in July, I came across some Rocky Mountain Bull Elk as they were feeding on the tundra,” explains Putney. “With wishful thinking I hoped one would work its way to the top of this ridge. The rolling storm clouds were dramatic for the background of a silhouette. These two accommodated me making it to the ridge and interacting, providing the photo opportunity I was hoping for.”
