Photo Of The Day By Gene Putney
Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Mountain Goat Kids” by Gene Putney. Location: Mount Evans in Colorado.
“These mountain goat kids chose a nice spot to stop and pose briefly as they observed their surroundings,” says Putney. “It was near last light and the sun illuminated them like a spotlight. With the dark canyon wall for a backdrop, it was the perfect combination to make them stand out nicely.”

Photo of the Day is chosen from various OP galleries, including Assignments, Galleries and the OP Contests. Assignments have weekly winners that are featured on the OP website homepage, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. To get your photos in the running, all you have to do is submit them.
