Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Winter Thaw” by Harry Lichtman. Location: Durham, New Hampshire.

“The Doe Farm conservation area was a favorite place to walk my dogs, and I return there often in the fall and winter to ski or walk the trails there since it is only 10 minutes from my home,” explains Lichtman “Some warm weather last winter created some dense fog and helped separate the old oak leaves from the background. The absence of color elsewhere in the scene was accentuated by the conditions and time of year.”
