Henry Mccourt’s 30-second exposure of the Bristlecone Pines is today’s Photo of The Day. Thought to be to oldest living things on earth, the wizened Bristlecones have attracted nature photographers from all over the world. Mccourt sent the photo to the Blue Assignment, which has been extended through Tuesday, January 28th at midnight. He used a Nikon D 700 and a Nikon AF-S Zoom Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G ED AF Lens. The exposure was f/11, 30 sec at ISO 800. Post-processing was done with Adobe Lightroom 5.
Photo of the Day is chosen from various OP galleries, including Assignments, Your Favorite Places and the OP Contests. Assignments have weekly winners that are featured on the OP website homepage and several images from the Assignment Gallery are picked to be featured in The Best Of Assignments section in the print magazine. To get your photos in the running, all you have to do is submit them.
