‘Lone Tree’ by Jack Curran
Jack Curran’s ‘Lone Tree’ near Forrest Park, Missouri, is the Photo of the Day.
“After a recent snow shower, the temperature began to warm up, causing the snow to begin converting into moisture and fill the air with fog. While driving through the park looking for interesting opportunities, I came across this pine tree. I found the shape very interesting as I locked it within the square format of the Hasselblad 2 1/4 format. The combination of snow and fog created a nice way to view and isolate the tree,” says Curran.
Photo of the Day is chosen from various OP galleries, including Assignments, Your Favorite Places and the OP Contests. Assignments have weekly winners that are featured on the OP website homepage and several images from the Assignment Gallery are featured in The Best Of Assignments section in print. To get your photos in the running, all you have to do is submit them.
