Photo Of The Day By Kevin Russell

Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Solitude” by Kevin Russell. Location: North Cascades National Park, Washington.
“This tree is along a trail I’ve hiked several times in the North Cascades,” says Russell. “It has always caught my attention as it looks different from the rest, it stands alone, grows out of a pile of boulders and has always stood the test of time through harsh winters. There may be a lesson to learn from this tree—stand strong and dare to be different!”

Photo of the Day is chosen from various OP galleries, including Assignments, Galleries and the OP Contests. Assignments have weekly winners that are featured on the OP website homepage, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. To get your photos in the running, all you have to do is submit them.
