Photo Of The Day By Laura Zirino
Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Watching the Storm” by Laura Zirino. Location: White Sands National Monument, New Mexico.
“The day I arrived at White Sands, a storm was very active off in the distance,” says Zirino. “You can see for miles there, so while the lightning looks close, it actually was probably more than 20 miles away and there was no thunder. The little tiny black spots on the sand on the right side are people watching the storm.”
Photo of the Day is chosen from various OP galleries, including Assignments, Galleries and the OP Contests. Assignments have weekly winners that are featured on the OP website homepage, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. To get your photos in the running, all you have to do is submit them.
