Photo Of The Day By Laura Zirino
Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Zion Sunrise” by Laura Zirino. Location: Zion National Park, Utah.
This was the last day of a 10-day photography trip across Utah,” explains Zirino. “The sunrise didn’t look like much when I woke up, so I went to breakfast instead. About halfway through I looked out the window and saw dark clouds building behind the Tower of the Virgin. I hightailed it out of there, headed to the first spot I could find, and the sky suddenly lit on fire. I gasped—I’ve never seen anything like this. I started shooting with the equipment I had from the night before because there wasn’t any time to change it.”
Photo of the Day is chosen from various OP galleries, including Assignments, Galleries and the OP Contests. Assignments have weekly winners that are featured on the OP website homepage, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. To get your photos in the running, all you have to do is submit them.
