Photo Of The Day By Neil Keller
Finding a unique photo in a scene that has been visited by countless photographers is a challenge. In this photo of Bridalveil Fall in Yosemite National Park, Neil Keller accomplished just that. I am always attracted to images that use atmospherics like this. The jagged peaks loom menacingly in the mist giving the scene added drama. Keller took this photo in the spring. He used a Nikon D80, a polarizer and a Velbon tripod. This photo is one of the most popular in the Your Favorite Places gallery. Neil Keller has submitted a number of excellent images to the OP Galleries. You can see all of his photos on his personal OP Gallery page .
I select a Photo Of The Day every day. I choose the images from the various OP galleries including Assignments, Your Favorite Places and all of the OP Contests. Also, for each issue of the magazine I go through the Assignments galleries and choose a few to be featured in The Best Of Assignments in print and I select a weekly winner to be featured on the OP home page. To get your photos into the running all you have to do is submit them.
