Photo of The Day by Robin Black
Aspens On Bishop Creek by Robin Black
It’s the middle of summer, but at OP I’m working on fall issues so I have fall color on my mind. Robin Black submitted this photo to the Fall Color Assignment which is open through August 6th. Black has been featured several times in Photo of The Day over the past year. She took this photograph near Bishop, California. Black writes, “One of my favorite things to do when shooting fall color in the eastern sierra is to wander my way up Bishop Creek to see if I can find a nice juxtaposition of aspens, flowing water, and granite. This spot included all three.” She used a Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera.
I select a Photo Of The Day every day. I choose the images from the various OP galleries including Assignments, Your Favorite Places and all of the OP Contests. Also, for each issue of the magazine I go through the Assignments galleries and choose a few to be featured in The Best Of Assignments in print and I select a weekly winner to be featured on the OP home page. To get your photos into the running all you have to do is submit them.
