Photo Of The Day By Willie Huang
Purple Magic by Willie Huang
Willie Huang’s photo of lupine near Sacramento, California is today’s Photo of The Day. Huang submitted the photo to the Wildflowers Assignment which is open until midnight tonight.Huang writes, “When the conditions are right, lupines will bloom all at once creating blankets of purples across fields and hills. After much scouting, I found this pristine and dense patch of lupines along a hillside. Paired with an S-shaped log and high thin clouds, I had the perfect conditions for my sunset setting.” The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II DSL and a Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II lens.
Willie Huang has sent several beautiful images to the OP Galleries. You can see more of his photos on his OP Galleries Page.
I select a Photo Of The Day every day. I choose the images from the various OP galleries including Assignments, Your Favorite Places and all of the OP Contests. Also, for each issue of the magazine I go through the Assignments galleries and choose a few to be featured in The Best Of Assignments in print and I select a weekly winner to be featured on the OP home page. To get your photos into the running all you have to do is submit them.
