Photo Of The Day by Ya Zhang
Morraine Lake by Ya Zhang
Ya Zhang is today’s Photo Of The Day winner. Morraine Lake in Banff National Park is a popular subject so this is a familiar scene for most landscape photographers. Ya Zhang’s choice of rendering this vista in black and white adds an element of timelessness to the image. The photo was shot with a Canon EOS 5D Mk II and a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens. Zhang sent this photo to the Reflections Assignment which is open for submission until April 23rd. Go to Ya Zhang’s OP Gallery Member Page to see more.
I select a Photo Of The Day every day. I choose the images from the various OP galleries including Assignments, Your Favorite Places and all of the OP Contests. Also, for each issue of the magazine I go through the Assignments galleries and choose a few to be featured in The Best Of Assignments in print and I select a weekly winner to be featured on the OP home page. To get your photos into the running all you have to do is submit them.
