Photo Of The Day By Matt Purciel
Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Return to Eden” by Matt Purciel. Location: Oregon.
“While I was researching for a trip up to the Columbia River Gorge, I came across an image of this waterfall,” writes Purciel. “I was taken aback by the stark beauty as I scoured the web to find the undisclosed name and location. I found out it was off the trail and a little bit of a challenge to get to. I was able to grab the GPS coordinates, and off I went. The falls are part of the Ruckel Creek drainage, so I headed in that direction. With my iPhone and GPS, I left the trail and headed down this slope, over to the left and down into the basin. I was the only one there as I arrived at this amazing bolder and moss-draped garden. For a brief moment, it was a return to Eden.”
