Winner: "Illuminate The Night" By Rene Gruber
“The picture was taken in Villnöss valley (Val di Funes) in South Tyrol located north of Italy,” says Gruber. “It was in the middle of winter and at the end of the valley where it was on the app, there was about 50cm of snow! My actual plan was another picture where I photographed a small mountain hut, but that didn’t have the charm and impact like this picture. It was about 10 pm on a cold, very clear winter night with no clouds in the sky. No haze and a very wide view.” Nikon D750, 16-35mm f4 lens, Sirui tripod and ballhead.
