“In mid-May, I was in the Lamar Valley area and came across a grizzly sow with her cub while they were eating,” explains Putney. “When the cub got its fill it tried to keep itself entertained while it patiently waited for its mother to finish.” Equipment: Nikon D500, Nikon AF-S Nikkor 200-400mm f/4G IF-ED, Induro Stealth GTT204 Tripod/BHM2S Ballhead. Settings: 1/500 sec., f/6.3, ISO 800.
