Voigtländer’s New Wide-Angle Sony E-Mount Lenses Go To Extremes
12mm F5.6 Ultra-Wide Hellar
Voigtländer just announced a new line of prime lenses for Sony E-Mount cameras. While this trio may not be the fastest lenses on the market, they are some of the widest and are ideal for landscape photographers. The first three in this new line include the 10mm F5.6 Hyper-Wide Heliar, 12mm F5.6 Ultra-Wide Heliar and 15mm F4.5 Super-Wide Heliar. Although 12mm and 15mm lenses have been available for Sony E-Mount using a VM-Mount adapter, the 10mm is new and all three are out-of-the-box compatible with Sony E-Mount cameras. Notable features include EXIF data transfer from lens to camera, a selective aperture control system for silent, stepless operation and 10 aperture blades. The lenses are slated for spring availability. List Price: TBD. Contact: Voigtländer, voigtlaender.com.—Theano Nikitas
