Winner: "Tunnel Of Lights" By Denis Dessoliers
“There are many sites to see in the world but only a few that are as beautiful and inspiring as Yosemite National Park in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. When it comes to iconic locations that define a country such as the United States, it’s hard not to think of images of Tunnel View, Valley View, Half Dome and also Yosemite Falls.
“During November of 2020, I remember checking the weather reports of several places for that week in the morning. Yosemite was one of those places, and to my surprise, snow was forecasted for the following day. That same morning, I began packing all my gear and by the early afternoon, I was already on the road to my destination. By early morning the next day, snow was already falling and the entire village was painted white. The sky was mostly overcast, but several minutes at a time the sun had enough strength to pierce through the dark clouds. It was precisely at those times when these shots were taken. The picture here is taken with two shots with a focus blended foreground and background.”
