Winner: "Play" By Sumistha Das
"During Christmas and New Year, I was photographing in Yellowstone National Park and looking for foxes,” explains Das. “We were going up and down from Gardiner entrance to Lamar Valley the whole day and in one of those trips, we suddenly met with a herd of bison crossing the road. On the side, these two young ones started playing with each other. I quickly rolled down my window and took a few shots without knowing if they would be any good. Later in the evening when I was going through my photos I found this keeper. It was shot on New Year's day, so I call it my ‘Happy New Year’ shot."
