Enjoy six days of extraordinary adventure on an Arctic Photography Workshop that will immerse you in the awe-inspiring barren lands while, captivating you under the canopy of the night sky. This workshop takes place during prime aurora season, at the same time, vibrant autumn colors blanket the barrens and wildlife can be seen migrating to their southern destinations.
Your days will include guided hiking and boating excursions, where you can walk in deeply entrenched caribou paths or climb rolling hills and sand eskers – always on the lookout for wildlife, intricate macro creations, colorful landscapes and sweeping vistas.
Elston Hill, a two-time participant mentions “calling it a photo trip is too limiting as this is the most gorgeous fall scenery I have ever seen.”
Known as the best place in the world to view the aurora, you will have five nights of opportunity to photograph the northern lights, milky way, light painting or stargazing. Ideally situated under the auroral oval, Peterson’s Point Lake Lodge provides the ideal setting for these opportunities. Far removed from city lights, crowds and light pollution you can enjoy dark star-filled skies and capture the aurora dancing across the night sky and cast reflections on Point lake.
Suitable for all levels of photographers, from aspiring to professional, this workshop is led by professional photographer Cheryl Stewart who will offer advice and share technical information in a way that is easy to apply to help you get the photographs you want. Group participation is voluntary and guests who prefer more independent shooting are certainly welcome. If you want more assistance, your photo leader is there to guide and assist you in all things photographic.
Small group sizes and limited dates make this workshop sell out fast. Take advantage of this rare opportunity and reserve your space on this incredible adventure today.
