All photo tours are of the highest caliber and include spectacular landscapes, stunning waterfalls, fantastic hotels, great food, private transportation, and professional photography and Lightroom assistance. Our Costa Rica photo tours also feature hundreds of species of tropical flowers, birds, butterflies, frogs, monkeys, sloths, and other exotic wildlife.
All tours are created and led by Scott Setterberg, an award-winning professional photographer with 30 years of landscape photography experience. Scott has been published in Outdoor Photographer, Nature Photographer, Huffington Post, and other publications, and is a member of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA). Scott’s images have been exhibited in dozens of art galleries and juried fine art festivals throughout the United States, Costa Rica, and Asia and are held in private collections worldwide.
Our photo tour season begins in January with the Colors of Costa Rica photo tour. This tour traverses the verdant Central Valley areas of Vara Blanca and Bajos del Toro, as well as the northern region of La Fortuna – featuring the iconic Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal, and the magnificent turquoise water of Rio Celeste. This outstanding photo tour is offered three times during Costa Rica’s high season and we photograph vibrant wildlife, fantastic landscapes, eight magnificent waterfalls, and beautiful flora and fauna.
The Pura Vida Costa Rica photo tour is also offered three times and this sensational tour focuses on Llanos de Cortez, Playa Hermosa, and Rincon de la Vieja Volcano National Park in the northwest area of Guanacaste, as well as Rio Celeste and La Fortuna in the northern region. We photograph Costa Rica’s spectacular beaches, five extraordinary waterfalls, tropical sunsets, and a splash of exotic wildlife.
The Landscapes of Costa Rica photo tour explores jaw-dropping jungle rivers, gorgeous meadow lakes, 15 spectacular waterfalls, rusty bridges, mysterious cloud forests, and tropical flora and fauna. This tour is offered twice and locations include Sarapiqui, Pozo Azul, La Fortuna, Toro Amarillo, Bajos del Toro, Las Gemelas, and San Ramon.
In May and September, the Awe-Inspiring Oregon photo tour features three of the Seven Wonders of Oregon including Smith Rock, Mt. Hood, and the Columbia River Gorge, plus twelve spectacular waterfalls, magnificent mountains, rivers, lakes, and streams. Other locations include: White River Falls, Silver Falls State Park, Abiqua Falls, Butte Creek Falls, and Trillium Lake.
In June, July, and August, the Oregon Extravaganza photo tours explore three of the Seven Wonders of Oregon including the Oregon Coast, Columbia River Gorge, and Mt. Hood, as well as ten of the best waterfalls in Oregon, gorgeous lakes, beautiful beaches and sea stacks, cascading streams, and pristine flora and fauna. This tour is offered three times and locations include: Abiqua Falls, Butte Creek Falls, Cannon Beach, Multnomah Falls, Fairy Falls, Trillium Lake, Latourell Falls, Panther Creek Falls, Lost Lake, and White River Falls.
In August, we shift our focus to beautiful Olympic National Park in Washington State and explore gorgeous landscapes, wonderful beaches and sea stacks, shimmering lakes, stunning waterfalls, and mossy old-growth rainforests. Two Olympic National Park tours are available and locations include Madison Falls, Crescent Lake, Marymere Falls, the Hoh Rainforest, Sol Duc Falls, Ruby Beach, Merriman Falls, Bunch Creek Falls, and Lake Quinault.
We close out the year in October with the Oregon Fall Colors photo tours that feature two of the Seven Wonders of Oregon – the Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood – as well as 17 fantastic waterfalls, glassy lakes, and rushing streams, all during peak fall color season. Other locations include Butte Creek Falls, Abiqua Falls, Silver Falls State Park, Multnomah Falls, Latourell Falls, Lost Lake, Fairy Falls, Panther Creek Falls, Trillium Lake, Starvation Creek, and White River Falls.
