Why Choose Us?
Learn from a professional with both formal education and over 25 years of field experience
Choosing a qualified instructor with the best skill set can mean the difference between an average experience and a great experience. Teaching photography requires more than just knowing how to take beautiful photographs. Truly exceptional instructors must have extensive knowledge about fundamental photographic principles, utilize the latest technology, and be able to explain and apply the appropriate techniques in the field.
Cheryl Opperman’s degree from one of the world’s best photography colleges, plus over two decades of real-world experience, makes her one of the most skilled professionals in the industry today.
Whether you are just beginning to learn photography or have been taking pictures for years, Cheryl is passionate about sharing her knowledge to help you discover new techniques, develop your own unique style, and reach your photographic goals.
Benefit from partnerships with local conservation organizations and/or guides
OPI Photo Workshops and Tours participants benefit from the expertise of local organizations or guides so we find the best locations and adapt quickly to changes in weather and wildlife.
When we partner with not-for-profit organizations, participants can also rest assured that a significant portion of their workshop or tour fee supports the important work they do for conservation, habitat preservation, and wildlife education and research.
Small class & tour sizes
We always limit our class or tour size to ensure you receive individual attention.
Upcoming Workshops and Tours:
During the Creativity in the Digital Darkroom workshop in September, participants learn how to use the best tools and techniques to optimize digital imagery and construct new works of photographic art. Participants also photograph bison, raptors, and prairie scenery.
Join OPI Photo Workshops and Tours every March to capture one of nature’s oldest and largest migrations in the Crane Trust’s Sandhill Crane Migration Workshops & Tours. Custom-built photo blinds give photographers intimate access to the largest roost on the Platte River for an up-close view of this magnificent gathering that makes for extraordinary pictures.
